backing up bookmarks in Firefox.

I have my bookmarks in FF set up the way I want them. Mostly on the toolbar in subfolders. How and what would I backup and overwrite on a fresh install of FF to keep them?

Bookmarks - Manage bookmarks...

File - Export...

Or you can just copy bookmarks.html from your profile folder 🙂

Voila!

You could also just go into your configuration folder and then copy the bookmarks.html file to a safe place.

That is if it ever gets to the point were you can't open up firefox for whatever reason and need to reinstall the OS, the browser, or something else like that.

Mozilla Backup enables you to create backups of your Mozilla, Mozilla Firebird, Mozilla Thunderbird and Netscape profiles. It allows you to backup mail, favorites, contacts, etc. The program offers an easy-to-use 3 step wizard that lets you select and backup the profiles to a folder of your choice.
