Maybe. I'll be 51 in December.

that's close enough to explain the similarities. it's lookin' like I lost on all counts now.. I'm just flabbergasted the school board didn't go my way.. and some kind of glad, given the way it did go, that my last kid is graduating this year.

Schwarzeneggar in 2008.

The Republicans are already working on it. They're going to change the law allowing immigrants to become President if they've lived here long enough.....at least that's the chatter.

Republicans win b/c they're a damn well organized group. They go to work planning years in advance. That's why they win.

Yeah, and Democrats just wing it the week before elections, right?

I voted Libertarian knowing he wouldn't win. But I couldn't bring myself to vote for either of the talking heads.

I voted Repub on the rest of the ballot, though.

Kerry was too "on the fence" with his issues. People made up their minds with him, as first impressions are very difficult to change, and he not surprisingly lost.

Bush took middle FLorida--which was Gore 2000 territory. Such instances like this and new Ohio Republican registrants is a direct result of a concerted Republican grass roots effort.

The Democrats were so much up in the air the last couple of weeks that they brought in Clinton advisors to work up some votes. This is fact. If that doesn't speak of a lack of direction and a cry for help, then I don't know what else.

No matter what anyone says, you voted, and that's the right thing to do. OK, you now have the right to complain about politics for the next 4 years, here is your key to P&N. :D

I can usually pick them, but this time I got 0wn3d, plain and simple. Looking back on it, turning gay marriage into a major issue this election was a stroke of genius for the Republicans. It managed to scare off a lot of moderate voters who might otherwise have gone with the Democrats this time around, while mobilizing the hell out of the hardcore Christian Right. It also forced the Democrats into defending something that everyone pretty much knew America wasn't ready for.

If there was ever a term in history that the Constitution could be changed to allow naturalized citizens to run for President, with a majority in both the Senate and Congress as well as holding the office of the President, this is that term for Republicans.

you are mistaken, it wasn't republicans that brought it up, it was the rabid liberal militant Gays, if they hadn't started marrying each other, the movement to vote on state admendments would never have happened.

you only have the militant gays to blame for that , not conservatives. the issue would have never come up with out the gays pushing it.

no, it won't happen. it would require a constitutional admendment, it won't happen. a good chunk of the 59 million that voted for Bush don't want an immigrant to be President, it won't happen

What does it matter if you vote for the winner or not? That's just kind of stupid. The idea is to vote for either the candidate that meets your views or against the candidate who is in opposition to your views. Regardless of who wins. Would you prefer that your congressperson just concerned himself to voting for the winning position on every vote and bill, and not for what you wanted?

I feel for you...I was hoping that Juan Pablo Montoya or Kimi Raikkonen would win the WDC this year.
