Joan and Lita were both members of the Runaways so they have a similar music background. Joan definitely was better solo simply because of the style of music she chose.

You are forgetting Terri Nunn. Berlin is often dismissed as a two hit wonder when the reality is they made some really good albums. You are correct though, the 80's was full of awesome female rock singers.
