Back Up drive

Hey all, I have a COMPAQ Proliant 2500 with a tape drive (archive 4326xx tape drive). With tape drives can you see the tape like you would a hard drive? I have the drivers installed and running win2k server SP1. I don't see anything under windows explorer? Thanks all

With the backup drive I've seen no you can't.
