Starting JAN 12 anyway, JAN to AUG some time SEPT I'm back to school. :p Will need to brush up on the latest developments in the field over the last 5-6 months. I've been following up on stuff but only casually. Don't care for having to hit sales targets again but I'm not going to concentrate much on that this time, at least I'm not going to stress over it that is.

Are you ever going to make up your fucking mind about what you're going to do with your life, or are you just hanging around, waiting for mom and dad to kick the bucket so you can inherit their money?

Move out of your parent's house. That will be one hell of an accomplishment.

Yup. Going back to school in Sept so I can get a better paying job/career. But I need a job in between.

I would also concentrate much more on moving out than a job right now since you have a cash reserve.

Contrary to popular opinion on this thread, I think OP is making the prudent choice - of course I would side with the others on moving out eventually, but I don't think it should be a priority - he is starting, not started school yet and it's a big move in itself, and he's making/saving up money in the meantime which he will need during school.

Baby steps, but you're getting there - just don't fall off the wagon.

IIRC, he's almost 30 years old, went to school for a while...then left. Worked for 7-11 for a couple of years, moving into a management position...then quit to hang around his parents' house for quite a while...then went to work at NCIX for about a year...then quit to hang around his parents' house for several months...and has started numerous threads about going back to college...but missed the start of the fall quarter/semester...now it's pushed back to NEXT fall...

I know you an many on here don't believe in it. But I have had long standing issues with depression and anxiety as I've brought up many a time.

That's never an excuse. Medicate bro.

What worries me about the future of society is that there is a large pool of people who contribute nothing and sit around their parents house all day eating Doritos and playing RPGs and Modern Warfare.

Who cares if he lives with his parents. At least he isn't taking out loans too big to handle, having kids he can't afford, or collecting welfare checks. I would rather people live with their parents, than go out on their own and keep fucking up the economy. Be glad his parents pay for him and not you.

OP, good luck with school, it sucks, but it is worth it. Never been a fan of sales jobs, but if you can make money at it, more power to you.

Yea, at 30, what's the big rush? When you've been at home this long, another year or so isn't gonna matter. Pissing money away for the illusion of freedom is pointless.
