I was just looking over at newegg and I've concluded back to school sales are bull****. Take a look at the front page...

I can't recall needing a 6800gt or an mp3 player for school when i was in school...the only thing you really need for school(generally i know there are exceptions) is a computer with microsoft word and a printer, doesn't have to be a speed demon. Marketing is so stupid sometimes. :disgust:

well i see the same type of thing in the best buy and circuit city ads as well. like kids need a bunch of fancy ass compute equipment to go to school...

It's stupid because it works. Of course no student NEEDS that stuff. It's marketing. That's it. They wouldn't do it if it didn't work.
