Finally! Been waiting on < $100 for these, and just happen to need exactly 2!

$269.99 - $70 off: 47DGX1L4SS?JS2

3% with DPA brings my total to 206.60.....tempting. Oddly I pd $104 for my first one during the CB TD deal (+ two RMAs of shipping :disgust🙂.

Ugh tax kills it for me at $216. I can wait 2 more months.

Edit: Nevermind, went ahead and ordered. Thanks OP.

Wow, cheaper than the $110 shipped Frys.com deal that I got last week. Grrr, have that one plus two spare 1TB drives, so I probably don't need more.

Nonsense Zap. One can never have too much storage, right? 😛

Well, one for storage and the other for backup? That's the bad part about these mega drives. How to back them up? Or you could spend half your life and a little over 200 dvd's to backup that 1.5 TB drive.

thanks OP! ordered a set for myself. are these the ones that have firmware problems, and if they do, have they been addressed? 🙂

In for two....$199.99 Shipped. (Free 3-5 Day Shipping)

When I was checking out I noticed that the 2 day option also said "$0".
I clicked it, it updated the page and had the 2 day charge and the discount for the charge ($13.99 then -$13.99), so whoever orders now may see if you can get the 2 day instead of the 3-5 day free! Here's the breakdown from the Dell order page:

3TB for only $199. 1.5TB 2 Pack Seagate SATA Barracuda Internal Hard Drive
Coupon - $70.00
Order Subtotal: $199.99
Shipping and Handling Total: $13.99
Shipping Discount: -$13.99
Tax Total: $17.03
Total Amount: $217.02

There was free 2nd day when I ordered on the 22nd too.....I just wasn't as nice as you, and didn't point it out 🙂.

More like a little over 300 DVDs. 🙁

I'm just hoping these have good firmware and stay alive. 🙂
I'm using them to backup stuff, so if one goes bad I just have to hope my originals don't go bad before getting new drives.
I've been needing to consolidate for a while!

Coupon may be dead, but price is lowered to $220 and still free shipping. Tax softens the deal a bit.

My drives arrived today. Both have newer CC1H firmware (not the older affected one). Both are actual OEM Seagate drives too, not Dell branded Seagate. The packing left a lot to be desired, one of mine came out of its plastic holder and was freely bouncing around the box. Hopefully it will be OK, I will test it tomorrow.

Good to know, thanks. Mine are scheduled to arrive tomorrow sometime. 🙂

My first drive from Dell at ~$89 with this same firmware was DOA. The replacement with the same firmware has been fine. I had waited a while after receiving it to actually install it only to find out the drive was bad. Thankfully I was still within the 30 day return period. I thought it was going to cost me to ship the defective drive back but I was never charged. Kudos to Dell for that anyway, it's certainly not their fault any of the drives are bad. Most places these days it cost you to return defective merchandise to a vendor. I had to pay shipping charges to return a defective video card (DOA) to NewEgg.
