Its the non-deluxe board. Good thing about this is that you won't be missing too much even if you're getting it refurbished from Newegg.

Deluxe was available last night for $89... too bad I just bought a NF7-S. Oh well, at least mine came w/ the SATA->IDE adapter. Dual LAN makes no difference to me.

Damn that's a nice price. I picked up a Shuttle AK35GT2 board two days ago $39, or I'd buy this one. I already have an A7N8X Deluxe board and I love it, best AMD based board I've ever owned.

If you look at the Newegg refurbs, you will notice that not every board has "OEM barebone" in the description. This is just my guess, from some personal experience, but you stand a better chance of getting the full box if "OEM barebone" in not listed in the description. With their processors, look for "BX" in the product description. This usually means you get the retail box with the heatsink/fan.

Yeah, I got my Shuttle AK35GT2 "refurb" today, and it came with the box, the manual/cd/ide cables/extra USB ports, etc, everything listed in the new box and it looks like it's never even been used. Very cool 🙂.

That's some wise-ass observation... kudos!

Just checked, non of the ASUS boards have that infamous red "OEM Barebone" text listed in the description, while all ABIT, Gigabyte, and MSI boards do.

How safe is it to purchase a refurbished motherboard? It sounds like newegg has a stringent policy for returns--15 days can be meaningless if the board dies the 16th day. How likely do motherboards die? Has anyone bought a refurb and had it die after the 15 day return policy?

i have said many times. for ASUS refurb, you have 99% chance to get the board only. they are real refurb which could be 5% to 10% chance DOA according to my experience. ASUS did NOT have good job in refurbishing.

I've been trying for weeks to get in on that refurb...last night I finally snagged one.

Let's hope it works.

What time do they usually post refurbs? I usually only check in the morning when there's not much left.

"98% of all statistics are made up on the spot..."

So true.

The a7n8x both the normal and deluxe variations are in stock. 79 and 89 respectively. There were 98 deluxe ones when I checked. Good Luck all. Heiwa j0!

i just ordered a Deluze Asus. I had already place and order for a regular one that has shipped out. How is newegg in dealing w/ cancelled orders? Do they have service fees, etc? I am gonna refuse shipment on the regular one and keep the deluze.

Also, how many here have gotten the Deluxe and gotten the accessories or not gotten them?

If you're order has already reached step 2 of 5 in their order process, you'll have to ship it back. I have never been able to get them to stop an order at the warehouse.

I'll be sending one back later this week so there should be another available. 🙁 Maybe if I scratch "Chiz was here" on the bottom of the PCB we'll be able to track it? 😉

Is this the board that has a bad bios flash and won't post again? Maybe you can put it in the empty space on this label found near the IDE port. Let us know what version and serial number it has.

Good thing I ordered one yesterday. The 86 they had sold fast. Already got a Fedex tracking number. Cheers.

Recieved the AN78X Deluxe I ordered 4/7, Monday. Darn it, got a rev1.04. w/ 1001.G Bios. I was hoping at least 1.06. :frown:
