This is a buy it now ebay listing. I cannot list the link because that is against the rules.
Go to ebay; click on "Advanced Search"; click on "Find a Member"; search for [deleted]; click on "Seller's Items".

This is a cooler that I have been looking for and could not find any for less than $30.00.

This is a link to a review.

Please note that there are different types of AMD heatpipe coolers. One only has 2 heatpipes and comes with a 70mm fan. This one has 4 heatpipes and an 80mm fan. It is the best.

Navid,

Your post about the ebay buy it now ad for the AMD heatsinks is as much a violation of our rules as posting the direct link. I understand that this appears to be an exceptional deal, but our moderators are a small group of volunteers, and we do not have the time to evaluate and approve individual possible exceptions to our rules.

Thank you for understanding.

Obviously, any AMD CPU that comes with this heat sink only needs a lick of A/S#5 to be completely satisfying, except for the hard-core overclocker that needs the big iron (like xp-120) to stay cool.
Nice find on the review, also. :D:D:D

Looks like a good deal - picked one up. Just built a new system and was looking for something better than stock. Thanks!

I got mine for free a while back but, this is the heatsink I use on my overclocked single-core opterons @ 2.8ghz. They cool basically the same as an xp-90. Not the best, but definitely worth its low price. I stuck a 120mm fan and 80mm-120mm adapter on mine. :)

I don't know about that...I have both, and used both on the same cpu/mobo (w/artic5), and the xp-90 cools much better. I can't give exact numbers tho because my xp-90 has a 92mm fan on it that runs faster as well, which is another advantage with the $25-30 xp cooler.

Well ive personaly done extensive benchmarks on both. And the stock heatpipe cooler had almost the same identical numbers xp-90 (with a very high rpm fan).

So my copper heatpipe heatsink w/ my 120mm fan(on medium), is about 2-3C lower temps than the xp-90.

Yes, there are "better" HSFs in that some cool better and some are quieter, and some are both... but none can be as good for the price. I snagged four of them in the past few months - well worth the money IMO.

That sounds nuts to me because in my experiences the xp-90 is significantly cooler.

The review linked shows performance similar if not better to an xp-90. I have and use the two heatpipe version and have gotten great results from them. I image the 4 heatpipe version with a larger fan is going to work well especially at that price. They wont last long.

I am not sure what those "experiences" are but.....

Like I said, I benchmarked them with identical settings one after another. Go read the Madshrimp review Navid linked, the results just back up my own. :p The xp-90 days were over a while ago. :) Its hard to beat the same cooling as an xp-90 for $15 shipped, or if you bought a dual-core cpu, for FREE.

Like I was saying earlier, I stuck an 80mm-120mm fan adapter and a 3-speed 120MM Antec fan(on medium setting) on my Stock heatpipe sink, and now its about 2-3C cooler than an XP-90. On lvl3 or high, its about 5C cooler.

Sounds good. I'm going to have to try the stock sink with the bigger fan and compare the results. Btw, do you have a link for the 80-120mm adapter that you use? Thx.

I got this one. LINK You can get the cheap first class shipping as well so its not all that much.

Just know, the performance difference from the 80mm fan wasnt all that much. Youll need a somewhat higher rpm 120mm fan to make any difference. Id only recommend doing it if you have a 120mm fan laying around and dont mind "possibly" wasting $5.00 on an adapter. Just be aware, its only like a 2C lower difference with my 120mm antec fan on "medium" speed. On "low", the 80mm fan actually cooled better or about the same as the 120mm.

Of course, one other aspect is noise. THe 120mm fan is obviously going to be quieter.

Almost went and bought The Big Typhoon but someone here suggested The Silent Cat so I added AS5 and popped one one and it reduced the Temps by 3C's...pleasant surprise because I just wanted to quiet it down a bit :D...The Silent Cat also comes in 120...BTW DO NOT lose the Delta Fan that comes with the Retail Kit because AMD requests it for a warranty exchange!

This post is about a cooler, not a CPU.
If you mean to say that you wanted the cooler and could not find it, all you had to do was to follow the instructions from the first post. He is sold out now.

Genuine AMD X2 4-heatpipe Heatsink/80mm fan
This post is about a cooler, not a CPU.

I've been reading all your post where you are calling this AMD X2 4-heatpipe HSF so I just shortened it to AMD X2 figuring anyone would know what I was talking about.
Sorry I shouldn't have taken anything for granted.

You say you have been looking for 2 days! There were 16 units available yesterday!

I clearly specified to search for the seller figuring anyone would know what I was talking about. I guess I should not have taken anything for granted. ;)
