My other 2400 Mobile Chip took a dump. 🙁 But I did get her up to 2.5 mhz on air with an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe. 😉
 
Heh i ordered the xp-m 1.35w 2200+ mobile a couple days ago. I hope that overclocks just as well as this one. It should.... the 2200+ and 2400+ are the same stepping so I assume they just overclocked the chip by 130 mhz. That and the 2200+ is about 12 bucks cheaper. It's another alternative for someone who's on a budget.

Edit:: errr... 1.35w=35w. I do stupid things when i'm tired.

lol like I said. XP-M 35w 2200+ is same stepping. In fact, it's the same processor. It's probably still in stock if ppl missed out on this one. Just a heads up 😉

I cedrtainly hope you are right.. becasue I ordered one 2 days ago when the 35w 2400 was still oos.
 
Connoisseur and ectx plz post the results of your overclock on this thread and let us know if the 35 watt 2200 processor does indeed perform just as well as the 35 watt 2400, I saw the 2200 but I opted to err on the side of caution. The fact that they do have the same stepping is a good arguement but you never really know till you have the data...

Heh I got it up that fast using a penny as a heatsink.
 
Heh i'll post my results soon as I get it. Should get in by Tuesday, along with my ThermalRight ALX-800 :laugh: hopefully the combination will be quite nice. I have read these chips can easily hit 2.3-2.5 ghz with regular cooling. Hopefully the ALX will help me achieve this goal easily. Also ordered the aspire turbo black case. Good and cheap.
 
I don't think anything under under a 2400+ is a Barton, so would avoid the 2200-M.

Anyway, be interesting to see if the *even lower* voltage 2400+ overclocks as well, or if there are any boards that will allow you to run at 1.35V 😉

Very pleased with my $99 45w 2600+ @ 2.51GHz on air (about 38c load, 1.65V)

Edit: in this case it looks likely that the 2200+ is an underclocked 2400+ anyway (same stepping, and it says 512K Barton) in fact people have speculated that the 45w Mobiles 24/25/2600+ are all the same chip, with different quality controls, maybe the 35w 22/2400+ are the same....?

Will post my results but mine is not supposed to be delivered till Wednesday. (USPS could do a better job these days than FedEx never imagine I'd say any good thing about a US gov. agency).
