Bachmann delivers Tea Party responds to the State of the Union

Terribly executed. Firstly, its Michele Bachmann. Secondly, she's not even looking into the right camera.

Who the hell names their kid "Congresswoman Machell Bachmann from Minnesota's Sixth District"... I've heard of naming your kid 'senator' or 'Sargent'... But... um... this RELAY limits your kids job prospects.

ps

Which lazy eye do I look into?

Wow, I thought it was bad when I read the transcript last night. Seeing the video makes it that much worse. She's AWFUL.

I'm truely astonished that someone that lept onto the national stage by channeling Joe McCarthy and the good old commie witch hunt days has gained such prominence. It's just sad.

I think I shall press for air time to give the Me Party* rebuttal to the State of the Union address.

* The party consisting of me and only me - and I've got my eye on me. 'Cause I suspect some latent left wing tendencies. And some questionable sexual practices.

Sounds like an infomercial.

Maybe she can tell us about the Tea Party's Health Care Plan:

"Don't get sick, and if you get sick, die quickly."

Also:

"Continue to pay far more money than people in other first world countries and get less."

Hopefully the lower and middle classes will rise up and ride the Republican and Tea Party morons out of the country, tarred and feathered on a rail.

As much as it pains me to say anything in defense of Bachmann (and trust me it hurts, A LOT) she was looking into the camera specific to the Tea Party. CNN was the only network to carry it live. She wasn't talking to the rest of America apparently, just those ardent supporters.

The Tea Party Camera? Does it come with a rose colored filter and see things as they were 60 years ago?

yeah, it was a web camera to feed a live stream to whatever website TEA partiers log into to receive their daily commands, read Watchtower together, or whatever it is they do.

Even this explanation doesn't make it more excusable--this kind of attitude fosters the notion that the TEA party is nothing more than a cult movement of fringe wackos with delusions of grandeur. I'm not sure if they still repeat the mantra that they are the throngs of the frustrated, and the majority opinion or whatever, but it's becoming more and more obvious that no one is listening to the hot air but themselves.

Wait...so the fact that they were using multiple cameras (one for an internet stream and one for TV broadcast) proves they are a cult? OK...

And they say the Tea Partiers are crazy...

I think his point is that Michele Bachmann, instead of looking at the one real news camera, looked at some webcam streaming to the Tea Party website

no. They opt to talk to themselves, rather than consider actually delivering their message to the US as a whole. It makes them more insular.

The funny thing is, they seem to think they speak for the ave US citizen. They certainly do not.

sorry i did not make it clearer...

:hmm:

are you a teabagger?

😉

I consider myself more a tea partier than anything else... But I have yet to watch the Bachmann response. I heard it was pretty funny. But I don't have youtube at work, and I don't have any decent internet at home to stream the movie. I also voted for Bachmann. I will comment after I'm able to see it. (I'll try to stream it this weekend)
