Long time buddy of mine is getting married in July...7/7/07, he more picked the date because it worked with everyones schedules, and was convenient that it was trip 7's.

He's not really a gambler, he won't enjoy going to a strip club, and he's getting married in SW VA (bachelor party could be anywhere)

I am not the best man - his brother is. However his brother may not do such a great job at planning one at all, so I'm trying to think of some good ideas.

he's a huge hockey/Penguins fan, but hockey season is over in July, we could play some paintball, but thats not going to take up the huge time.

He's also a Bond/Starwars fan (big big fan)

Basically...suggestions for a bachelor party that isn't one of the 'stereotypical' get drunk and naked ones...

you can always have the bachelor's party early (e.g. in June or May), so you can take him to a hockey game then.

taking him out to a a good meal is important

why doesn't he like strip clubs, btw?

Buddy was getting married in Chicago. He had friends from Detroit, DC, Chicago and California wanting to go to his bachelor party.

28-34 yr old guys. We had planned on doig a weekend in Florida btu it was during spring break and the costs were too high.

We ended up doing a 3-day weekend in Boston.

Once you determine what people are willing to spend than you can plan the weekend provided you want to do more than one night.

He will regret this within a few months of being married ;)

yeah, its definitely worth figuring out why he hates strip clubs. it wouldn't be a real bachelor's party without them.

Vegas. I don't care if he's not much of a gambler, or he doesn't like strippers... If you don't go all out, then he's going to regret it.

I'm not much of a drinker/gambler/etc, but Vegas was awesome for my party.
