Bacardi 151 Is Not For Mixing

What's the fun in getting wasted so quickly and burning your throat in the process?

Strongest stuff I ever had was Wild Turkey 101, which was surprisingly smooth. After trying a few bourbons and scotches I have decided it's okay occasionally, but much prefer not drinking.

The worst "drink" I've ever had, by far, was a borderline-quadruple shot of 151. The stuff just tastes horrendous, and one particular friend of mine has a hard-on for always trying to trick me into drinking it. Hell, I'd rather shoot everclear...at least that stuff doesn't burn AND taste like poo.

This. My friend (the wannabe gangsta "wigga" type) drinks these. He's on the big side, but two of these will get him plowed. You cannot taste the alcohol in it at all; it's like a pina colada. Just make sure you serve it over ice; if it gets warm, the 151 rises, and then it can burn like gonorrhea.

Some places in the states have lowered the alcohol percentage in Everclear. I still buy it at 197 proof in Mexico where it is called "Alcohol De Cana." 10 years ago I paid $2.00 US a liter. You can find it at the liquor stores. The last bottles I bought were bottled at the "gasolinera de aeropuerto." In other words they were filled at the gasoline station at the airport.

I pour them in my gas tank of my car to get the water out of the gas. The alcohol mixes with water and fuel and it burns up the water in your tank. I've had cars worked on in Mexico and wet rags shoved in gas filler holes have dripped water into gas tanks.

I've also brought bottles home for Everclear punch parties.

Highest proof of Everclear is 192. Ethanol can only be distilled to 95.6% leading to the 192 proof. But you were close enough . And thats 2 threads today with that answer...bunch of god damn booze hounds here.
