Wow, these things finally hit a price that no one who is a fan of the series should skip. I have always wanted to collect the full season, but paying $249 - $300 was a bit much to pay for these. Anyway, cheers for the best Sci-Fi series of its time.

Sweet. Just ordered all five. I was just thinking about wanting these the other day, I just didn't want to spend $60 a piece. Thanks.

It is a good scifi series IMO. Better than battlestar galactica is because the acting overall is better.

Deepspace nine had the best cast of actors out of any star trek series ever made and was the best ever IMO. Sure the original is in it's class and you can't really compare it fairly to the newer series so I exclude that.

Oh, and there are like 5 movies that go with the babylon 5 series as well that you should get to complete your collection. They fill in missing parts of the story but I would look up what order to watch them in or else you will see spoilers.

Their was a spin off series to babylon 5 that was cancelled after the first season but I forget the name of it.

Crusade, but it wasn't that good because TNT wanted it to be something that it shouldn't have been.

Grabbed Seasons 4 and 5 to fill out my collection. Used the 10% on movies RZ coupon, came out to $17.99 each before tax. Great price.

B5 had some of the best characters in any tv series let alone a scifi series. The arc that characters like Londo and J'kar progressed trough were unforgettable and Shakespearian in scope. JMS was heavily influenced by Tolkien and Joseph Cambell, his use of the Universal mythos ideal made for compelling storytelling.

I am running to BB to buy this stuff RIGHT now!!


btw: my wife still calls me capt. Sheridan sometimes when shes frisky.

JMS also consulted with Harlan Ellison and borrowed a bit from the greatest SF space opera of all time, E.E. "Doc" Smith's Lensman series.

B5 was a great series, and is well worth the $100.

I don't like Lockley. She is not bad looking, but I don't find her attractive. Maybe her uniform hide her curves too much, I don't know.

Went to my closest BB(50 miles away) , and picked up season 4 (which was all they had), came home & ordered season 2,3, and 5. I had bought season 1 way back when it first came out, for something like 70 dollars. Unfortunately, all 3 are backordered, 1-2 weeks delivery time. One thing that I don't think has been mentioned, 4 & 5 are available for 20 in store, but the first 3 are online only.

Which B5 had some of the absolute worst acting you'll EVER see? Which actor/actress? It seems like you're offended because he said B5 has better acting than BSG. Me, I don't see one series has better acting than the other. If that is true, either one series wouldn't last long.

Ever watch some of the later "The Howling" movie sequels? Now that is bad acting. I have never seen Babylon 5, but saying it has the worst acting ever is a bold claim.

Yeah, there are two people in this thread who had basically crapped in it, which is grounds for a vacation... I am thinking about PMing a mod over their crap. But, seeing as I don't take personal offense if someone likes or dislikes a show, I'll let it slide.

Most people who like B5, also like BSG, ST:DS9, ST:NG, ST:V, ST:E, FarScape, Adromado, Firefly, etc... The point is, were not trying to pit one show against another, so you can stop being emotional about it. It is SAD how some people have linked their self esteem to certain shows... Get over it. I like them all... You don't like B5? I don't care, just stay out of my thread and spare me your idiotic remarks.

Oh absolutely not, I am offended that someone actually thinks there was good acting on the show : ). Besides for Gkar and Mollari, who were fantastic, the acting for the rest were subpar at best. Boxleitner nauseated me with his fakeness.

I'm not giving my opinion on whether the show was good or not, just responding to the acting comment.

I'm pretty sure no one said they didn't like the show. Liking a show and liking the acting are usually two different things. Even my best friends which absolutely loves the show admits tha acting is often bad!

For any others looking to get this, the B&M's will have at most 4 and 5 in stock. 1-3 are only via .com.
