Season 5 was suck.

I thought season 5 was good. The chemistry between Peter Jurasik and Andreas K(can't remember the spelling) was amazing.

As for the deal, this is great.

Thanks. I'm two episodes away from finishing Season 2. Even though Bab 5 is on SCI FI every day, it seems to be much more convenient to watch it on DVD when I have the time than try to store all of the episodes on my PVR box (plus, no commercials).

Thanks for the HOT DEAL! As others have posted, this is definately the best season of Babylon 5.

I live in the US, and ordered the first two seasons from the Canadian branch of Amazon (Amazon.CA). Was cheaper that way. This deal beats Amazon.CA's current pre-order price, though, and has free shipping to boot.

So is this in Widescreen? Originally the show was filmed in P & S and was later made into Widescreen by cropping. I though the series was well done, some episodes being better than others. I wanted to change my sig to Zathrus to post this. Zathrus knows... yes he does.

conehead433, you are mistaken. The series was filmed with the intention of a future widescreen presentation. Technique used was something called 35mm full frame or something like that (EDIT: it is called Super35). It was cut to pan-and-scan for the original run on television. The "cropping the pan-and-scan for widescreen" problem happened when the series was re-released in widescreen format on television. Warner brothers, or whoever owns this show now, used the pan-and-scan masters by accident when creating the widescreen version. This has since been corrected, and was in fact corrected in time for the second widescreen television airing. The DVD release is proper widescreen.

The CGI shots are another issue, though. From what I have read, the effects shots are cropped from the originally aired pan-and-scan. The original widescreen CGI, if it ever existed, has been lost.

Is DVDsoon.com gone? I can't connect, nobody answers my emails and nobody answers the phone
number I had for them.

It seems to be back up for me now. It was down for me both at work and at home.
Hopefully they got the problem, if there was one, fixed.

DVDSoon sent me an email yesterday (August 5th) indicating that my Babylon 5 Season 3 set has shipped. Can't wait to get it.

Well yes, but that was the only good from season 5. I didn't like the new captain, and the telepaths storyline wasn't interesting to me.

Well, I got my Babylon 5 Season 3 set in today. The set was packed in a tiny box barely larger than the product packaging, with no packing materials to cushion it. Disc 4 of the set had come free in the packaging, and is scratched up a bit. I haven't tried watching it yet to see if it skips, buy I may be sending this back for a replacement. Same thing happened when I ordered Season 1 (got it from Amazon.CA), and I had to send it back.
