Baby stolen from slain mom believed found

Actually cyc what the press thinks is quite relevant in that it is a mirror of what you and I think. We all think this is a disguisting criminal act, sensational and furthermore INTERESTING to give our momentary attention to. But as far as your political tangent I can't fathom a more irrelevant notion to consider under the circumstances -- the mother was murdered, her baby stolen but now, presumably found alive. I would have no objection to charging the offenders with murder and kidnapping.

Now, if the baby was found dead then we might have something to discuss.

Is thinking for yourself really that difficult? It's a thought exercise - nothing more. If it scares you that much, move on with your life and ignore me.

Still baiting huh? Ok, heres a taste of what you want: I can make an intellectual distinction between a fetus in a womb and a baby sleeping in a crib... don't be too sad you can't.

ohh a hook of my own

You failed to address the question, since the fetus in question was still within the mother when the crime occurred. Question is - what makes this woman 'evil incarnate' when the same would not be said about someone who killed a woman and stole her kidneys?

Evil incarnate? I don't think the bitch is evil incarnate? Unless she is the future reincarnation of Mana (which I seriously doubt). But do I think her act is more despicable than if she had stole a kidney? Yes, after all a kidney's just one organ, you can harvest a whole lot more with the kid.

Ridiculous political crap aside, this is the part of this story that gets me:

According to court documents, Montgomery traveled to Topeka, about 30 miles north of Melvern, on Thursday to go shopping. She called her husband from there, saying she had gone into labor and given birth.

Kevin Montgomery and the couple's two children met Lisa and the newborn in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Topeka and drove home, according to an affidavit.

What??? And the husband knew nothing? He thought this was all totally normal? How in the hell does this conversation go?

Wife: "Hi honey. Oh yea, I drove to Topeka, and wouldn't you know it, I went into labor!"

Husband: "Are you OK? Well, that's great, I'll be there as soon as I can."

Wife: "Nah, you don't worry about it. Let me finish up here, and you just grab the kids and meet me in front of the Burger King on Route 19."

This kind of crime is not that uncommon, actually.

In one of his books ("Anatomy of Murder"?) John Douglas the FBI profiler of serial killers devotes almost an entire chapter to women who murder pregnant women and remove the baby. He describes a case where a woman hacked open a still alive pregnant woman's abdomen with her car keys, removed the baby, tied off the umbilical cord, then left the poor mother to bleed to death. These women typically wear a pillow under their clothes for months and months, and the CLUELESS husbands are somehow fooled. Other women just casually walk into a hospital baby ward, pick up a kid, and walk out.

This is just so sweet. Now we have another case for the idiotic masses around us to get involved in for the next two years. And just after peterson was convicted. Ah, the timing couldn't be better! Not to be heartless, because this is awful, but now the news will be peppered with this, relentlessly. Good Christ.

Now this is sad, and to think that the husband says he didn't know anything about it is very scary....
The Bit@ch should receive the death penality for this....
