Baby goat season just started for me, and someone wanted pictures this year. Only one picture so far, in low light, but here's a start:
That's #1 and #2. Both girls, born around 3 a.m. (the dogs announced it; I was asleep).
1 doe down, 23 to go (though I'm hoping one isn't pregnant). The majority will have twins, some will have triplets, and a couple will have single births.
----March 31: 4 born early this morning - 3 little girls and a boy. We appear to be done now. Fortunately, and as we expected, our special needs goat didn't have babies. 22 moms, 44 babies = an average of 2 each; some had one, some had triplets. Only 3 in the house getting bottle fed; and we have people interested in purchasing those ones already.
