Baby ban in first class on Malaysia Airlines

Makes perfect sense. Every airline should have this rule. In fact, many places and businesses should have rules like this. Movie theatres for one

i believe all airlines restrict babbies on intl' first class anyway?

(domestic doesnt count, ive seen kids in domestic first)

ive seen dogs fly domestic first class. yes a dude purchased teh seat next to him to place his lil dog carrier thing on

I would MUCH rather sit next to a dog than a baby.

Only if the dog was quiet. Dogs yapping are equally bad as babies making baby noises. Any baby noise is annoying. Hearing babies laugh/cry/try to talk always makes me scowl in disgust. It's completely annoying.

I support this as well. If you paid for a First Class ticket you wouldn't want a baby screaming at the top of their lungs during a long intercontinetal flight.

Exactly! Same thing in business class. Trying to get work done and having screaming babby makes things hard.

Last time I flew intl' I was in the last row of First/Business class and behind me must have been like three babbies in the first two or three rows of economy on the right side of the B772.

Like maybe the first hour through hour 8 was bad screaming nonstop. after that they fell asleep for the final four hours of the trip.

I had my bluetooth headphones on so I was jamming most of the time.

I fly rarely. Went business class for my vacation back in May. Wow. What a difference. No crying kids, no cramped seats, and they fed me real food! I fully support this. If you're forking out that much dough, you shouldn't have to listen to the excruciating screaming of someone else's out-of-control kid.

you sound real fun to be around

That's a great decision by the airline, babies are loud and annoying as hell in public settings, especially if the parents don't know how to deal with it correctly so it doesn't bother other people.

Because I don't like babies? Doesn't sound like a good enough reason to base your comment on. No ones baby is special. They're all ugly, they all look nearly the same, and they all sound annoying.

You sound like a parent who doesn't like it when people don't like their baby. If that's wrong I apologize.

thats why i LOVE my bose quiet comfort noise reduction over the ear headphones. they have prevented me from going insane a few times due to babies screaming and toddlers creating mayhem on a flights grounded on the taxiway waiting for weather to clear.

Having traveled many flights, I too have experienced the "joys" of a baby sitting in the lap of his/her mother next to me, with their dirty diaper smell, their screaming cries as their ears pop and their drool falling upon my arm. This is a great perk for first class.

Yes, coincidentally I had that very same experience on the last flight I was on. Only the Mom knew the kid crapped and said, "I just changed you, you are going to have to sit in it for awhile now."

She kept feeding the kid all kinds of food and expected the poop machine not to start up?

My earphones did not drown out the smell 🙁

Also annoying is when they learn that they can shriek at will. Also annoying is when the parents encourage the behavior.

if you are a frequent traveler anything noise canceling is a must.
