Normally I don't look at the babe threads, but seeing one from you Russ make me click on it. It was just too out of character. ;)

Then I clicked the link. :p

Unfortunately, I don't have any "babes" to contribute, but I do have a little story. I'm not a computer guru by any stretch of the imagination, so I was a bit apprehensive when today, I was called upon to put Win98 on a computer. This thing still had a turbo button, and ran at a whopping 150 (I think it was) mhz (note, I have seen worse, my grandmother's only runs at 75 using AOl *ick*). I turned it on, and ugh, no mouse. This thing takes a serial mouse, of which I have none, and of course, no adapters either. Ok, so I can manage, there's always the TAB key. Then I notice the fan doesn't work. Great. I have in front of me some sort of old mutant computer with an HP Dat thingy in it and a fake floppy drive (there was a real one too, but i guess there was a fake one in it for looks???). I tried a reboot since it was snagging on startup. Bad idea, now I get no video. That's when I very calmly turned it off, put the case back on the computer, and set it aside.

Homer Simpson say: "I want to share something with you: The three little sentences that will get you through life. Number 1: 'Cover for me!' Number 2: 'Oh, good idea boss.' Number 3: ' It was like that when I got here!'"

Lol, shoot, that's nothing. The computer at work today that prints out the labels that go on the newspapers went on the blink too. This computer came with the newspaper building, and any attempts to date it would have to rely on some sort of carbon dating technique it's so old. It gives an I/O error and won't load the label database. In a few hours, we're supposed to put the ad bundles in the papers and stick the mailing labels on the ones that go to subscribers. Unfortunately, we either have to re-type all 3k+ labels and go to Wal-Mart and pay way too much in buying the labels to print on, or hand write all those labels. Papers go out tomorrow early am. *groan*
