Hi, I have seen a lot of conflicting information as to whether 10th gen Intel supports memory overclocking on b560, many saying they have overclocked fine. I have recently bought a 10400f and b560m aorus elite but can not overclock my 3200mhz crucial ballistix above 2666. Does it vary on a motherboard basis? I feel I am wasting a lot of performance without at least XMP.

Thanks

According to its specification page, the motherboard supports overclocking i.e. XMP for 11th Gen CPUs only.

Man that's weak. Gigabyte is quickly becoming the scourge of DIYers. I had the worst B560 board made - ASRock B560M-HDV and I could run 3200xmp with a 10400.

So I have no idea what has changed but I can run XMP now...I did the same thing and it worked. I had re-seated the ram in A2 and B2 which didn't work but tried again today out of desperation and it works. I'm going to see if I can get any more out of it. I am baffled.

Well cool, thanks for posting the answer for searchers. :beercheers:

I was sitting here chuckling at how dumb it was Gigabyte would do that.
