While the B450 will work fine, saving the equivalent of pizza night money is a bad trade off IMO. I'd see what the day after Xmas sales look like, and if there is a good deal on a 5 series board, that B450 would be going back.
As to which board to buy: The 3D doesn't need primo VRMs, so any quality 5 series board will be a great fit. Price and desired features are what pries my wallet open. I ended up with Gigabyte the last few times, because they offered the features and IO I wanted for the lowest price when buying.
