Does anyone know what is the difference between B2 and L2 stepping E6300,E6400 processors? Which one overclocks better? What is the best overclock you have reached and at what voltage?

L2 - is the proper Allendale core with native 2MB L2 cache.

B2 - is a Conroe core with half the 4MB L2 cache disabled.

If memory serves me right, I think I saw somewhere where the B2's (conreo core) were the better overclockers.

Either CPU-z, or look on the underside of the CPU for its PCB code (printed in gold next to the IC's in the centre).

001 - Conroe
002 ? Allendale
