B12 supplement warning for people aged between 40-49

Supplements warning: The vitamin linked to a ‘rapid’ reduction in vision ‘over minutes’ - Sound Health and Lasting Wealth

“Of 86,813 who reported taking vitamin B12 on eHealthMe, only 27 people reported the Uhthoff phenomenon as a side effect. However, these experiences are solely from the perspective of the patient and are unconfirmed by medical doctors.”

Good news is that it's rare. Still, if you or anyone you know suffers sudden worsening of vision in this age group, you now know that professional medical help should be sought immediately.

"There isn’t any legitimate research into the link between vitamin B12 and the Uhthoff phenomenon. "

"these experiences are solely from the perspective of the patient and are unconfirmed by medical doctors.”

Shouldn't you know better than to post that garbage here by now?

It's a rare occurrence and it could happen to anybody. Because it's rare, there isn't enough medical data to support its existence. That doesn't mean it does not exist and also doesn't mean that someone here or someone close to them may not suffer from it. Posted it here as a FYI.

I'm more likely to attribute it to prediabetes because Americans can down hundreds of grams of carbs and sugar and stop functioning mentally if they get down to only 50g a day.
