B & W: saved game help!!

i had to reinstall black and white but i copied the profile folder before i did ti, i thought this would keep my saved games but it ididnt. any ideas? or did i do it wrong?
 
It did...I think what I did when transferring machines was I made a new character by the exact same name as the old one, then once I'd saved at least once I quit the game and overwrote the profiles folder with the old backedup one, and then reloaded and it should work. I think thats how to do it.
 
I know that you'll hate going through the beginning again with the initial stuff that is impossible to skip, but something will work because I transferred my profile folder from one comp to the next and got it going...
