My friend and I just spent 2 hours applying B-Quiet sound dampening material all over our computers, and I can't tell a THING different. Maybe just a tad, but nothing noticeable. Dunno what we're gonna do w/ the remaining 10 sq ft of this stuff. Should I apply another layer?

judging by the content of your post, I would surmise that you should just call it a day with that stuff!!!!
Really? Yea- most my noise comes from my G-Orb and 2 case fans. Maybe I should get some quieter fans? What kind of noise does b-quiet reduce then? This thing also made my case like 10 lb's heavier!
B-quiet reduces vibrations not noise. The back of the mobo tray and the bottom of your case are good places to use it.
If you want to reduce fan noise, replace the high pitched gorb and the two case fans with panaflo/adda fans.

Tonec is right, its for vibrations, thats the reason for its wieght the object of bquiet is to weigh down an object to reduce its resonating noise, its not an acoustic sound absorber.
Read this post a while back in the middle discussed about acoustic foam and how dynamat and b-quiet do really nothing for you.

"This B-Quiet stuff is an asphalt and rubbered based stuff which is exactly what dynamat is. This is what the call a "Mass Loader" which means it adds mass to a certain object to dampen vibrating resonating noise in like metal sheet panels. What im using is a "Sound Absorber" its meant for airborn sound that hits it and soaks it up like a sponge, thats why it needs to be thick. With this B-Quiet stuff for airborn sound, it will pretty much act like a sound barrier, it will just bounce right off of and echo within your case. Alot of ppl use this stuff for the wrong purpose, cause its not a sound absorber, it a vibration dampener!
I've done alot of research on finding some real kick ass acoustic foam, this stuff is truely amazing, the soaking power of it is just as powerful as 3 inch scoulped foam (eggcrate shape), the top layer is skinned so its real easy to clean up like for dust and sh1t, with exposed foam this would be a big pain, and this skinned top adds like 30 precent more soaking power, below that is just layer of open cell then closed cell foam, its also adhesive on one side. Due that its 1 inch thich kinda makes it not as flexable where to place it. But really all you need is to put it on your door, base, as much as you can on the brazel/faceplates and the front of the chassie, try and get a 360 view point from your sound problem spots, and close it off not air tight but so that it hits this foam atleast once in its bounce paths, a good trick sometimes is to take cardbord slap this stuff on it and hang it over trouble spots."
