Yeah I saw a show and some guys have mini versions of jet fighters. These scaled down jet planes will do over 200 mph! Freaking awesome.Originally posted by: Eli
Wow, that's an awesome model. I bet it cost thousands of dollars.
Are those real miniature jet engines I see? :Q
Badass.

Probably closer to 20k. Each engine can cost a few thousand alone.
Looks like either a mechanical failure, or it was flying too slow. I would think that plane needs to be moving about as fast as a private plane at all times to keep from stalling.
Keep in mind that it's only a model. I've seen flight videos of that plane before. It looked like it was operating normally. It appears to be going slow, but that's only because it's wingspan is fairly large. It's actually pretty close to an exact reduced scale of the actual B52. Large models fly slow....the larger models are actually more stable and easier to fly too. That's why I was surprised the idiot that had the controls screwed up like that. You'd think they'd be more careful with such an expensive plane.Originally posted by: 0roo0roo
i dunno, it just looked like it was going rather slow. does that thing have the same thrust/weight ratio as the real b52? if its weak it might stall real easy right?
