It makes up for any speed mistakes you might make by regularly pinging and resetting your U/L speed for optimal D/L. When you operate at max speed all the time, it can congest your bandwidth quite easily...this fixes that. You can turn it on or off in "options/plugins/auto speed". I find that it often doubles my d/l speed...

ikickpigeons a side from P2P you should get into using Newsgroups instead. You'll always download at the speed of your connection and if you're looking for something, request it and typically it will show up, or use a News search engine to look for goodies:

http://www.newzbin.com/

P2P seems like such a waste IMHO compared to Usenet. ;)

ABC is a very good client, look into using it instead of Azureus which is supposed to be incredibly bloated and slow.
