I downloaded it for the first time yesterday, and it worked fine.
I always stayed at yellow, so i did a few things to the router to enable port fwding and what not. I installed JRE 5.0 (aka 1.5.0)
Today, it won't even connect to any seeds or peers, so it stays at red.

I tried the same torrents with the shadow experiemental one, and this time it takes forever just to connect to peers/seeds.

this is truely frustrating

i'm using the
the samurai 7 thread torrent ...

i went around and tried other torrents...same thing.

Also, when I use shadow experimental, it works fine but it just takes awhile to connect to the peers/seeds

does your dsl modem have a built-in firewall? Do you have a software firewall?

Did you open the right ports?

Try putting yourself in the DMZ and see if that helps

i bet you don't have Static DHCP on your router enabled.

If you rebooted your computer, and your router is using dynamic DHCP, your local IP is changing each time you boot up. Thus your port forwarding isn't forwarding to the right IP.

Try making your computer static to one local IP like 192.168.101.01 or something...and have all the ports only foward to that.

Good luck.

You might want to try with UPnP off. Found under configuration > plugins > upnp

uh...

just b/c your router accepts mac address only as a means of connecting, that doesn't mean it's giving you a static local ip.

I'm not sure which router you're using, but there should be a section designated for DHCP.

I'm not really familiar either w/ tcp/ip settings...are you referring to the windows network settings stuff?

ah ic. Well, under the DHCP section of my router, you can have specific mac addresses connect to the router. As in, only the mac addresses I enter into the router can connect to the computer.

as for the tcp/ip settings, i was talking of the settings in windows. You can either input an ip addy, or have it auto detect.

I ran outa ideas :(

I just use the official client (os x). It doesn't have as many options as azureus and is sometimes slower but the official client hogs less cpu and downloads constantly.
