We need to close half our jails and stop imprisoning people who have no business being there. That would save a boatload more money. As evil as that is, he's right. The troops in Iraq are basically living in the same conditions except they hopefully get more water and the food is probably a bit better (military food is surprisingly good).

IIRC, illegal immigration camps are authorized under current Federal immigration law -- something to the effect of being allowed to keep them in such camps for up to six months while awaiting deportation.

I also believe such camps have been in place for decades throughout the country, not just in AZ.
