The money market doesn't like what it sees for future economic policy.Same thing happened when Reagan was elected.

Actually, the downfall seems to be from uncertainty about earnings and probably has something to do with the somewhat lowered projections for the holiday shopping season in ADDITION to the election uncertainty.

Stock traders are a strange brew. :)

Hey Triple......how do you know they don't like what Gore is doing, and are afraid it may lead to falling consumer confidence or diminished overseas confidence because of the division of our people? Just a thought.....

Whew, I had the chance to buy company stock or buy a new car and I passed on the stock offering. Even though the company is doing well, we got nuked along with other tech companies. Even after discount I would have lost quite a bit. Many people are really sweating it out and spent quite a bit of their savings. :(

It's all in the toilet. Looks like the ride is over and common sense has returned or worse :frown: From all the early market indicators we could be in trouble :frown: :frown:

Besides the on-going political instability concerning the election, the October factory orders(I'm sure it was the numbers for Factory Orders, correct me if I'm wrong)numbers were very bad. Analysts were expecting a 1% drop, but the actual was over 5%! Not good!
