Personally, I think restrictions like this are ignoring founding principles of our country, ie the freedom of the people and individualism.

I think it's extremely telling that laws are being passed to control a small % of the population that makes the GOP uncomfortable.

I never get this. When it’s pointed out that conservatives are doing something fucked up a very common response is ‘but they will lie about it’.

Yes, they will. Who cares what they say though? Is the idea they were going to say ‘you got me, and I would have gotten away with it too if it weren’t for you meddling kids!’ or something?

States could likely ban plastic surgery if they wanted to. That being said it seems like there might be something there as these laws presumably say something to the effect of ‘breast implants are okay if your biological sex is female but not if it is male’ and they sort of logic has lost quite recently in related cases.
