Might be buying a PDA within the next week or so...

I see that Dell has an X30 with 624mhz, Bluetooth, and Wifi for $297
Then Dell has an X50 with 400 mhz, Bluetooth, no wireless. for $250. Why wouldn't you spend another $50 for 200 mhz and a WiFi? What's the difference between these two and which should I get? Thanks =)

The x50 has a much nicer improved laptop-type screen. I forget exactly what it is called, but that's it.

I have an x30 and I love it.

That's cool. I'm trying to justify getting a PDA. I hear that a lot of people buy one and end up using it as a paper weight. I know I'm constantly writing to-do lists, but besides that I don't know what I'd use it for =(

I believe that's only on the high end x50v with the nice VGA screen.

The X50 is newer...I think it has a faster graphics chip even for the lower end model, but I could be wrong about that. It also has a different look ("better" is subjective). The biggest functional difference is that the X50 has a Compact Flash slot AND a Secure Digital - the X30 only has SD. This was a bigger deal a couple of years ago when CF was cheap and SD was pricey, but that's not even an issue any more, since SD is cheap too. The X30 is nice - if you have no need for VGA (available on the much more expensive X50 model), no need for CF, and like the looks of the X30, I'm with you, get the $297 X30 over the X50.

If you like retro games, there are a ton of emulators available for PocketPC. I still use my old Axim X5 every day; some people I know don't use theirs at all. I guess it's just up to the individual.
