AX-7 of GC68?

These are both based on 80mm fans, but the price of the GC68 just fell - big time - to $13.99 (with a Panaflo L1a included).

I need to buy two for a dual board and I first wanted the AX-7's b/c they are so good and they have a 3-prong clip, but then I learned about the GC68's. They would save me almost $50.00 if I bought two and put L1a on them both. Only think I don't like is the clip system.

Can anyone comment on the performance of the AX-7 vs. GC68?

Thanks!

just a heads-up: svcompucycle is having a sale on the gc68- only $7.99 with your choice of fan i think. at this price i would buy 2 just to try them. unfortunately i ordered one a couple of days before the sale started- oh well...

Just get the cheaper one the gc68. Both of these heatsinks are decent coolers. The ax-7 will of course be alittle better because of the copper base, but just do yourself a favor and take your girlfriend out to dinner with the $50 bucks you will save. As long as your not overlclocking the GC68 will be just fine.

btw is it a dual p3 board??

Oh yeah JPS you might want to consider buying the gc68s with the Y-S tech fans if you dont care about a little noise.
