I have a friend who named her golden "Athena" after our Great Dane

We always picked animal names through a set of rules.

Two syllables (mom believed dogs answer to two syllable names better)
Must be a place name
Everybody has to like it

Our animal names have been Tahoe, Shasta, Athens and Cairo for the last four dogs.

Make up your own set of rules and see what list you come up with 🙂
 
you should name it "appetizer"



Edit: I have now looked at the pics, and have changed my mind. I've decided that it is big enough to be a main meal. He sure does look tasty.
