Wait..15 years ago was 1990. Who bought a 286 system in 1990?The 386 came out in '85 and the 486 in '89...?

I was only a tot in the 80's so pardon my ignorance...maybe they weren't readily available.

does anybody have the hard drive parameters that you have to enter into the bios? if you don't have them written down, you'll have to search google for the cylinders and all that to enter into the bios

my first PC was in 1993, a 386DX-33.
yes, 486 were available, but even more expensive (my total home built system cost $5000 , if i had gone 486, it would have been another $500 or $1000 or something)

so buying a 286 in 1990 makes sense
