Awful sore throat, remedies?

I've been sucking on Halls with no effect, took some ibibrofen, drank a mug of hot chocolate, took nyquil....

Ideas?

Update1: Midnight
Downed 1.5 shots of whiskey to kill the pain, worked for like 5 min.

Update2: 2 am
I've drank two cups of Bourbon-Tea-Honey mixed drink (first with a dissolved cough drop in it, 2nd with a dissolved eucanacea pill in it), popped another ibuprofen, took a vitamin C pill, and the thing still friggin kills.
I've even tried gargling the tea drink.

WTF

Update3: 6:00 AM
It still fvcking hurts, took some nyquil and am chewing big red. Now I have a cough and a runny nose too.
 
drink some 151...if there's some sort of organism in there thats causing it, you'll take care of the problem.

dont talk, drink tea with lemon and honey. be patient. colloidal silver works for some people, but its a waste of money to me.
 
There have been a ton of these "sore throat" posts recently. Maybe it's some allergy that's bad this year?

I just had a shot of whiskey, didnt hit my throat just right, had another and it felt great... wore off pretty quickly though.

Jesus that stuff is gross.
