They never worked for me as a kid because my sisters were retarded in telling me how to use it, "just stare at it for a long time and it will come", what a crock of sh1t... What they didn't tell me is that you're suppose to cross your eyes when looking at those, stupid b1tches...

Also directions on letting me know "how to cross your eyes" was also utterly worthless, what they should have told me is to attempt to look at the bridge to your nose with out attempting to focus, not look at my nose....

I dunno if this will help but what you need to do is cross your eyes so that a "third picture" comes up in between the two pictures, once you have that, THEN try to focus.. I didn't bother reading the directions and tried it out for my self, about 30 seconds later I was like, "woah".
 
It is very awesome! You have to do exactly what they say then it becomes very 3D. It is not as much as crossing your eyes (as in looking down your nose) as looking at the two pictures and having your left eye steer to the right to look at the right picture, and your right eye steer to the left and look at the left pic. Nice find OP!
 
Lol, yes one concern with this is that once it works, it is kinda difficult to uncross your eyes but all you have to do is refocus them agian...
