They will cause streaks if you leave the exposure long enough. If ever you've sat outside for a few hours around a camp fire looking at the stars they actually do "move" (well it's the earth moving). Next thing you know the big dipper is not even where it was when you first saw it.

A 2-3 hour exposure would make some pretty interesting results I think.

Yes I know we move . But I trouble with only 2 to 10 seconds of exposure showing that long of trail. New batteries for cameria after that amount of exposure. for even 20seconds exposer you shoud see only a star blur. I never ever got in to stills but I do admire good still work. I like time laspe better you don't really have to be as knowledgeable as compared to good still work.

I got to say that pic has my interest. I got it on my desk top. I can't say that its the best desktop I have. Its the most interesting. Its as if your looking into an amonious dark abiss raging with dark power to destoy the tamed crust.
Than the lightning seeming from heaven made and doing battle with the dark forces.
Knowing brothers of the same power conspire and that these are but infants. To the mother that creates them. Ya that dam pic is freightening yet magnficent . It does in fact make for a great desktop.

What the hell where you looking at al-jazeera news for? Isnt that like a terrorist news network?

i prefer al-jazeera's english reporting over the likes of Fox, CNN, etc. they're they RSS feed that i have on my google homepage.

i dont know what their arabic reporting looks like, but their english reporting is pretty unbiased. (not referring to editorials, of course. those are loopy.)
