AWESOME New Logitech MX-700 Wireless Mouse for $64.99 Shipped (This one still alive)

First, credit goes to Trevelyan for posting the original thread on the Buy.com deal. But Buy.com has since taken away the free shipping, those greedy bastards. But we won't let that stop us:

You can get essentially the same deal at Amazon.com. They have the mouse for $69.99, and you can use a $5 off coupon code found in this thread to get it for $64.99. Shipping is free.

Amazon briefly had this listed as "in stock" last night, though today it is back to pre-order. My guess is they will have them at any moment now, since they're turning up at Buy.com and elsewhere. So, yes, it's a pre-order, but I'm sure you'll get it soon.

Some other things to note:

PERFORMANCE
--------------------
Wow, is all I can say. I've been using (and returning) wireless mice for two years. I've never found anything that comes anywhere near the performance of the corded Intellimouse Explorer -- including all of Microsoft's wireless mice (even their two newer ones) and the entire previous logitech line. This mouse really does deliver. I played RTCW and Counter Strike last night, happily fragging away with absolutely no lag. The ergonomics of the mouse are quite a bit different than my Intellimouse, so that takes some getting used to. And the mouse does have some weight to it -- something some reviewers have listed as a negative, but something I find considerably more comfortable. (I loved the weight of the wireless intellimouse explorer. Unfortunately, other than that, it was a piece of junk.)

The recharging cradle is ingenious, serving as both the receiver and a quick-charge station for the mouse's battery pack.

And did I mention: THe thing looks very, very cool.

SO, $65 is steep, yes. But I'm just glad I finally found a wireless mouse that does what it is supposed to do.

OTHER DEALS
-----------------
fldude alleged in the original thread that "Office Depot will have this on sale for $69.99 starting the week of October 27. There is a $15 off $50 coupon and a $20 off $75 coupon. I'm not sure when the $15 of $50 expires, but I know for sure the other coupon doesn't expire until the 10/31." So you could wait and see if you could get it cheaper there.
