Here's a list of what I think are the BEST Martial-Arts action movies and why...Feel free to add to the list!

Perfect Weapon
Jeff Speakman stars. Lots of action and all of it good, even the plot was tolerable.
Showdown In Little Tokyo
Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee. Brandon's got some nice moves, an okay plot and Tia Carrere!
Drunken Master II
Jackie Chan. IMO, THE BEST ACTION MOVIE OF ALL TIME, BAR NONE! This was my Jackie Chan gateway movie. After seeing this movie I turned into an INSTANT Chan fan! And now they're finally releasing it in the US as 'Legends of the Drunken Masters'
Armour of God II: Operation Condor
Jackie Chan. The fight sequence with the scantily woman is simply AMAZING! Jackie broke his neck (literally) falling in one of the action sequences in this movie.
Rapid Fire
Brandon Lee. The movie before The Crow. He was just starting to make an impact in the Action world. This movie showed the potential of what he might've been.
The Iron Monkey
Donnie Yen, Rongguang Yu. Directed by Woo-Ping Yuen (He did the fight scenes in The Matrix). High flying Martial-Arts, the final fight sequence on the poles will have you in AWE!
Fong Sai-Yuk I & II
Jet Li. Impressive flying Martial-Arts acrobatics. These are fun movies to watch!

I'll add more as I think of them.

I second Wong fei-hung, EXCEPT for the 6th one also known as Once upon a time in China and America. That one sucked. :|

No list is complete without Enter the Dragon. Sure, it's not as flashy as some other films, but it simply rocks. I like it so much that I've incorporated part of it in my sig.

Heh, awesome sig bolomite! All Bruce Lee movies are great.

If you like kung fu comedy, one of my all time favorites is a corny movie called Fight for Survival, about a group that steals the books of Damo from Shaolin Temple. Then the hilarity ensues. :)

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon:

What can I say, one of the most kick ass martial arts movies to come from HK in a while. Just got the bootleg a few weeks ago and I've already watched it a few times.

Also if you like martial arts movies with the campy flying sword fights and all that, I recommend Dragon Inn and Swordsman.

Jet Li goes for those flying impossible type O fightin style.
Jacky Chan goes for more comic but extremely exciting fight sequences. I love his oldies but watch that "WHO am I", that fight scene on top of the building is fun.

Enter The Dragon is one of my fav's also, damn BRUCE! why did u have to go and die!!!
or is he?

be sure to watch drunken master and Police story series for Jackie chan, all are great.

can't say i like much of that"ultimate fighting" stuff as they all seem to agree on one fighting move. "HUG and punch like sissy until other one gives up" i know it's not easy but these guys are supposed to be black belts so they should change rules or something to make more exciting.

If u can try to watch "K1", it's like Ultimate fighting but it's held in japan and they dont hug as much so its more fun.

ahahha jesus christ, thank god for MustangVT....the ultimate martial artist of all, Bruce Lee.

I agree that Jackie CHan is more comical which is why i don't really like him much.

Back to Bruce Lee, Enter the Dragon was great.
