This is one of my fav guitar solos from selkies: the endless obsession, this movie is of him tracking it but there are plenty of live versions of it too:

The solo in Bat Country by A7X is pretty sweet as well, and since someone else mentioned porcupine tree it reminded me of the solo from their song called shesmovedon which is pretty sweet (the version of it on deadwing is a lot better than the original version though).

IMO you have to go with the guy who actually did the Guitar Solo on the white album for "Gently Weeps". Most people are surprised that it was actually Clapton.
