Awesome FARCRY 2 Gameplay video in HD

It looks nice graphically, but am I the only one who watched this video and was disappointed that it plays exactly like any other single player shooter?
 
game looks nice. I wasnt thinking about picking it up before because I thought it wouldnt be good. But its looking like it would be fun to paly

He's just that awesome. He also fixes cars by popping the hood and turning a wrench.
 
The game looks completely and totally awesome. Shoot, drive, blow up anything, go anywhere, etc. The graphics are stunning. You sure will need a high-end rig to run this game with any appreciable eye candy. I may need to upgrade my CPU.

I loved the first FC...had the highest replay value of any game I've every played. I'm ordering my copy right now. 🙂

I would bet it was a high-end system running at 800x600 or similar res. Though that's just my education guess.
 
I'll get my copy sometime today afternoon (got a confirmation call from EBGames), good thing I live in Montréal hehe, for once we get a nice game the same shipping day, usually it takes one two three extra days for us to get games which are shipped from outside our country/province, so exceptions like that are always welcome. I can't wait to get it 🙂
 
I'm not impressed.
I still remember all those "awesome" videos we saw of Crysis many years ago. Then I played the actual game.
This all seems oddly familiar.

After one assault had ended, I was clearing house: picking up ammo, searching the ruins for health syrettes. Without warning, I was fired upon - a red line cutting across my vision. It scared the life out of me.

I turned to discover one last soldier. He was dying, but with his last gasps, he'd dragged himself to a tin shack and was sitting, propped up against a wall. He had just enough energy to raise his pistol and take a few final pot-shots at me. As I approached, he continued to fire. The rounds went wild, to the left and right. I could hear them zipping by my ears.

In this metaphor, I am Far Cry 2. And the soldier counts for all other FPS games. I pulled out my own silenced pistol, stood right next to him, and shot him right between the eyes. Calm, deliberate, badass.

Same here. I was on the fence because Far Cry and Crysis sucked, but this looks awesome.
