My max temp is like 32c, I think. I'm not done with my case, my air pressure is like a vaccuum right now.

I'm going to mod it in a couple days and I should go down. My idle's like 27c right now though, with my ambient being 23c. 🙂

My as3 has yet to settle in, since I just got the mobo and cpu today. 🙂
 
On the Tornado being loud, it's not untolerable, but you know it's there. 🙂

It's more of a woosh than a whine. 🙂
(In fact it has nearly no whine to it)

160fsb and 400ddr.....nice

I got 9600 with my 8500le with 249.5/249.5 default and my 1.6@2.67ghz w/ 333mhz ddr....I doubt my le will get that high without cooling mods but it looks like the 400ddr is helping nicely....

Yup, when you have a 128MB card compared to a 65, that's what tends to happen. 😛

I'm getting some Corsair XMS PC3200, I'm going for DDR480 @ 2.9v vmem.


Also, my other specs are as follows:

Retail ATi Radeon 8500 (64MB) @ 290/300
1.6v vcore, 1.575v was nearly completely stable, but I put it at 1.6v for extra stability. 🙂

After you filter through the drivers for the 8500 you will be amazed what your system is capable of.

How are you getting your radeon 8500 video card memory and core speeds at different settings? If I do that, it starts doing weird stuff. Mine is stock 295/295 so that might be part of the problem.

I was thinking about it, but with R300 only a week away (exactly a week) I'll just wait for R300 and buy that.
I should have one of the highest 3dmark scores. Not to mention that I'm going to be getting some Corsair XMS PC3200 and shooting up to DDR480 soon. 🙂

 
I have almost the same setup as crawlingeye. I also have just about the same score (7300ish) system and video card not overclocked.
My system doesn't overclock well, so I just leave it at that. Although I got a generic 350watt PS I got with the cyberpowersystem.com deal, that may be the bottleneck.

Does anybody with my setup have problems finishing 2001 SE at all? When I did it with 2001, it finished with the (7300ish) not overclocked. I don't see why, since I didn't overclock at all.
 
You people are silly, comparing an R200 to ti4400's and ti4600's? lol

There's only like a $150 price difference? lol

When I get my R300 I'll brag claiming that it's ok to compare out of the gen cards. 😉
