AWDFLASH wont delete!

OK I made a disk to flash my BIOS and that went successful so after a restart it wont let me delete AWDFLASH off of the desktop because it says its being used by another person or program. After numerous restarts it says the same sh*t and in the task manager no processes of the sort are using this program so WTF is going on and how do I get rid of this?

Try Shift-Delete.

Try booting into safe mode and deleting it there (dunno if you're tried that in your numerous reboots) - that *should* work since nothing is being loaded up at that point.

At least for me, deleting from safe mode didn't work. I booted Safe Mode - Command Prompt, drilled down to the C:\Users\....\Documents and Settings\Desktop directory and then deleted the file from a "DOS" prompt. (C:\...\...\...\Desktop:>del offending_file.exe) That worked for me.

How about the Recovery Console? Can you delete it from there?
