Award BIOS troubles

I have an old computer I'm trying to fix up and it needs the BIOS flashed. The mobo is an ECS P6IWP-fe rev 2.0 Link to BIOS

My problem is when i go to flash it the floppy just sits there spinning while "Please Wait" flashes on the screen. I know it's not supposed to take longer than a few moments but I let it run for about 30 minutes just to see. The drive light is on but I can't hear it reading or writing anything.

If I type in the bios to flash and leave off the .bin it will ask me if i want to save the old bios. I tried to do that but as soon as it's finished saving the old one it says "file not found" because i didn't include the .bin.

Anyone know what the dealio is here? 🙁

What kind of bootdisk are you using? And what flasher? Could there be a "BIOS write protect" setting enabled in your MB's BIOS?
