Got word that there was a female corgi at the shelter near us. GF is gonna check her out right now. 50/50 odds of us ending up with another corgi.
Update 5:
So a bunch of you Corgi owners live in SoCal. If you're interested, we'll be going to the SD Corgi Meet this Saturday with the new pack. See lots of corgis, eat some food, enjoy the weather.
Some pics/videos from years past are below (these belong to other people). I've been to 4 LA corgi meets, this will be my first SD corgi meet.

Update 4:
She's at the vet right now for a check up. 42 fucking pounds!!!! Oliver is 32 pounds and Wally is 30 pounds.
Update 3:
Assimilating well 🙂 GF took them out for a hike at the park. She has a follow-up vet appt with our vet today, and is getting her rattlesnake vaccine...also getting new tags to make it official.
Update 2:
She was billed as having temperament issues/food aggression. Dog was surrended by the owner because the dog nipped at the owner's kid, and this was unacceptable to her, so she gave her up. From everything we've heard (from the owner, shelter, BIL, and SIL....) the dog was perfect up until that point.
The shelter would not adopt her out when my GF got there "because she would fail the temperament test". No idea if they actually did a temperament test, but they wouldn't adopt her out. So my GF did what any uber GF would do and sat down by the cage and waited for the owner who was supposed to come and pick up the dog at closing time. A few hours and a few conversations later, one of the volunteers called the owner and the owner agreed to relinquish control of the corgi to us. The owner met up with my GF and transferred her over.
She's 3.5 years old, spayed, chipped, full AKC paper'ed, and fat as fuck. As far as "temperament" issues...she's been perfect so far. No signs of aggression with our 2 guys, greets other dogs and other people just fine. In fact she's a big ham and loves the attention. For food aggression, GF fed her by hand and she's once again perfect. Doesn't eat until she's allowed to. Doesn't snap at her hand. Doesn't snap at my foot when I accidentally hit her. Basically perfect.
Somebody fucked up - the owner for giving her up, and the shelter for refusing to adopt her out. but w/e, our gain!
We are renaming her Eva (maiden name Megan) 😀
Update 1:
She's coming home. Backseat of my GF's car, will update more when I get home.

Owner surrender. Shelter won't adopt out because the corgi failed the behavior test. GF is giving the shelter our contact info to pass on to the owners. I guess we now know why the corgi was an owner surrender (food aggression issues too)
