Spiders!

Fun, fun.

They make cool noises when you step on 'em. And their insides are interesting to look at.

:D

Actually, I let him go shortly after that picture was taken. I couldn't stand to hold him captive any more. :)

I'm afraid that literally just looking at that picture sent shivers up my spine. Spiders have that effect on me I'm afraid! :Q

Aww Killbat, that's sweet. I hate the little buggers, but I always catch them and put them outside. I would not hurt them just because they scare me. :)

I want a spider! We had a big sucker (about 2-3 inches from longest leg to longest leg)weave a web on our front porch, and I wanted to catch him and keep him as a pet. I was going to clean out my 30 gallon aquarium so he had plenty of room to "play." Considering I work with insects (termites) for a living, I could bring him plenty of "treats." But, the other day we had a cold, windy night and he disappeared :( Poor guy!

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I can't stand spiders! Killbat if you like spiders, you would love Hawaii! We have Cane Spiders. They are huge but not poisonous. They don't come out very often, usually only when their nest has been disturbed. If you try to smoosh them, you'd better watch out - quite often when you hit them, it bursts their egg sack and hundreds of baby spiders crawl out! It gives me the shivers just thinking about it!

How sweet :) Having lived in Alaska, anything that eats gnats and mosquitos is definitely a friend of mine. ;)

When I was in highschool(junior year) I had a BlackWidow spider that lived in the window of my bedroom. My bed was against that same wall... It was cool, but every morning I would look to see if he was still there. It was great to see though, all things (bugs) he/she would eat.

RGN, if it had the hourglass shape on its abdomen, then it was a female. The males are smaller and I think brown. I woulda gotten rid of that sucker though...
