Same here, it means nothing without a game play video. I loved playing the original AVP and AVP2 games, the original AVP scared the hell out of me. I remember playing it on a P4 450MHz computer at a friends house at night as a marine, real intense, especially when your motion sensor would make the beeping sounds.

I just hope the graphics are not total shit, AVP and AVP2 were pretty good, so they better not fubar it.

OMG I can't wait for this. I love playing "the bug" (the alien) in a multi-player game. AVP was one of those games which had incredible amounts of atmosphere. It just drew you in.

AvP was phenomenal.... Looked decent and DAMN, the way the rockets exploded and the flames came along the tunnel is the most realistic I have seen (or at least most impressive)

Dark night, 42" Plasma (back when I last played), 5.1 Surround Sound.... One Marine, one Pulse Rifle, Few bullets..... many, many aliens....

*bleep*... *bleep*.... *bleep bleep bleep bleep* *spray of bullets* *loud, shrieking screams*.... *silence*

Sweet! It was great fun playing the alien in the first game, not being the one running around in the dark scared was a nice change.

AvP was one of the best gaming experiences I ever had. In multilayer is was fun setting up an alien vs 3-4 marines, being marine was scary as shit, constantly throwing flares and getting spooked when the radar pings. There was no game like it. Hopfully the new AVP is more popular than the others

Since the human was the weakest link they will finaly give them the technollogies they should of had in the firstplace.
Always hated the idea you couldnt have motion sensing and lowlight visual at the same time.

AVP gave me the creeps badly but will be glad if something new cames out.

It would also be nice to a have a C&C/ starcraft tactical style version, Play all 3 sides deffending or infesting, Maybe joining sides.
I could imagine the aliens running around harvesting humans for food and brood, The human public running screaming in the streets.

If the game plays and feels like the first one with updated graphics, I'll be very happy. They absolutely NAILED the gameplay and feeling for each playable species.

Let us pray.

AVP2 I played just a couple years ago despite it being released in 2001. Graphics aside, it held up and I couldn't get enough of it. Awesome game. Indeed, let this one be even half as good.

Awesome, the game play footage looked pretty sweet. The trophy kills look pretty bad ass, nothing like ripping a marines head off with spinal cord attached.

Not looking up anything else on this game cept the TBA and what DRM it'll have.

I'll see what it's like when I buy it.

Looking solid. I hope the level design for alien mode is better when playing as the alien than in AvP2. It was one of the few things I didn't enjoy was the endless wallrunning in the tunnels.

I'll back you on that... the first AVP did the wallrunning well, but the second was horrible. It would change your perspective 90 degrees every time you ran over a 3-inch bump in a wall. Very disconcerting.

I loved the AvP2 demo, and the game was only slightly worse. (They reduced the difficulty in the actual game for some reason, so the fear of death as a space marine wasn't quite there like in the demo). I have high hopes for this game to be awesome.
