Avoid this deal at NewEgg!!

After numerous purchases from them I finally got a lemon!

This is not a rant against Newegg, they are GREAT but rather one of the vendors they offer.

I recently bought a LiteOn 52246s CD burner and it is fantastic for the price but they offered me a bundle package with NTI Backup now 3.0 for a $50 discount (from ~ $80). Thought this was a good deal as I needed drive imaging.

Well, it doesnt work with 2000 pro although it is supposed to.

NTI is located in Germany, has no 800 numbers and tech support can only be accessed through email.

Their help so far has only been what has been already shown on their web site and they are very slow in responding if they do at all.

Ill eat this program cost, just dont want anyone else to.

I think I said I was very happy with NewEgg, just not this particular product.

Just trying to save some of you the same problems I have had. Im not even trying to recoup my losses from NewEgg as some here would.

This is why I dont post as much here as I used to, you people dont read the posts or cant understand them when you do-

I love NewEgg and have bought from them many times but this vendor does not live up to its advertisements and you cannot exchange or return software.

how can an imaging program not work with an OS?

if you run it off a boot disk, it will either copy/image your file system or it won't

OK, edited my title.

Rant against NTIs program and not NewEgg. They just offered it at a reduced price, I bought it, it doesnt work with Win 2000 Pro and their Tech support sucks (big surprise there).

Happy now ?

Newegg shouldn't even be involved in your title AT ALL. It has NOTHING to do with newegg, your title should say "Avoid using NTI software with Windows 2000"
