BS. IF the company is not a member of the BBB, then yes, it's useless, which is why I asked him to check if they are first. If the company is a member, you will get some kind of results. Companies pay money to be a member of the BBB, they take it seriously. I have never failed to get somewhere by going that route if I'm getting screwed.
What part is BS?
One is voluntary 'club' that has absolutely no power to force 'members' to take any course of action. AFAIK as long as you keep paying, the BBB probably doesn't care what you do to customers.
The AG on the other hand has the power to compel organizations to observe better business practices and can take legal action if the business fails to comply within the confines of the UCC or other merchant guidelines.
If I am serious I rather complain to someone with teeth.
